Translating Mallard using gettext

Hi!

I recently wrote a user guide using Mallard and I would like to
translate it using Poedit or GNOME Translation Editor. But I don't know
how to generate a .pot file from my collection of Mallard pages.
I added the ITS namespace to my files but it doesn't seem to be enough
for Poedit to generate the file. Could someone here explain me how they
do it?
